An AI-powered personal investment with infinite financial gain

Tenjin AI is a financial app that aims to empower individuals build wealth faster than before with the AI trading tool and resources. Our team redesigned the whole app, including sign in, account configuration, investment dashboard, market rankings, social and personalized settings. In this case study, I’ll focus on the main feature with the core value of this app – investment dashboard.

Challenges and goals:

Tenjin AI has a broad scope of building wealth for individuals, including providing recommendations, managing different accounts and so on. The goal of investment dashboard is to create a platform for users with different financial needs to access and manage their financial goals.

Competitive Research:

1. Make the dashboard prominent – Show the dashboard in the home page can provide users with the most important information right away.

2. Easy access to investment AccountsWe agreed that users should have easy access to set up investment accounts that are either connected to other platforms or not.

3. Show portfolio’s performance earlyWe noted that it’s crucial to show the performance of portfolios as early as possible.

4. Set different financial goals for users From competitors, we realized the importance of setting suiatble goals for users. Thus, we decided to tie the Tenjin AI risk assessment that we designed earlier to goal setting step.

Personas:

The target group is 25-49 years old individual investors who want to gain financial freedom faster with new age tools and technology.

Conservative

You’re a creature of habit that prefers their routine—you take the same route to work, eat the same lunch every day, and have a standard wind down ritual. You make sure your doors and windows are locked before bed because, “You never know who’s out there.” You carefully research and determine all possible outcomes before you even consider taking a risk.

Moderately Conservative

You are the person that loves and appreciates your routine but doesn’t lose it when something knocks you out of it—if a friend calls when you’re in the middle of something, you’ll still pick up and if someone changes the brunch restaurant an hour before, you’re optimistic you’ll find something you like there. You weigh your risks carefully before making them and choose the one with the best odds.

Moderate

You’re open to trying things that are ever so slightly outside of your comfort zone—the latest workout trend, that new coffee shop, or going out on a weeknight. You have a healthy appreciation for risk and opportunity and prefer that they’re perfectly balanced but understand that sometimes the odds are out of your control, which is why you’d never put everything on the line.

Risk Taker (Aggressive)

You love to try new things—whether it’s hiking a different trail or going to a party where you only know one person, you always have a positive attitude. You like taking risks, and while you prefer to be on the winning side, you know if there is something to be gained, there is also something to be lost.

Thrill Seeker (Very Aggressive)

You’ll try anything once—cliff-jumping, sky-diving, or chocolate-covered insects, you’re constantly seeking a new thrill. You’re always up for spontaneous trips and are often the one planning them. You see the glass half-full even when others don’t. You love the prospect of a big risk if there’s an opportunity for a big reward.

User Journey Map:
